On Wednesday 28th March 2012 world famous artist Terry Setch visited a local primary school, Fairfield on Dryden Road.

On Wednesday 28th March 2012 world famous artist Terry Setch visited a local primary school, Fairfield on Dryden Road.  Year three and four children had been learning about Terry Setch and his art work and were extremely  excited when he came to visit them and enjoyed listening to him talk about his life and answering the questions they wanted to ask him. Terry was thrilled to see the art work created by the children and said ‘I feel inspired by the pieces’.  Niamh Pearse age 9 and Caitlin Salmon age 9 said “We made them out of recycled materials including plastic, plastic bags, cardboard and lots of other things!” Terry talked about his life story and at the end looked at the art work and the children told him what they were made out of.  Before he left, he thanked Fairfield for the invitation and gave the children a signed book of his art work.  The staff and children all enjoyed his visit and Mr Setch enjoyed it too!
