Great Fire of London

After sharing their models with parents and carers last week; Year 1 and 2 were thrilled to welcome Penarth Fire Service on Thursday afternoon who helped make sure that the 'Fire of London' was kept under control and safe for the onlookers! 

 1666 London Town was created in the playground and the spark was started.  The children and staff were amazed as the houses caught alight and the well timed gust of wind demonstrated just how the Great Fire spread so quickly all those years ago.  This was a wonderful way to complete the topic of 'Remember-Remember' and the children loved it!
