Year 3 + 4 workshop

On Thursday 12th July Simon Jones, Disability Sport Wales Development Officer for Vale of Glamorgan visited Fairfield to deliver workshops to Year 3+4. He demonstrated to the children how to set up opportunities for disabled children to be included in sport and physical activity in play and showing how to make our school  an inclusive environment. The children played everyday games that they usually play but were encouraged to think of how to adapt the game to make it fair and accessible to all. The children were given the opportunity to experience life with a disability which helped gauge the children's understanding of the barriers they can sometimes face. It was a fantastic afternoon of sport linked to our topic 'Sportswear designers' where the children showed great enthusiasm and understanding.
